I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, and stress management. I approach my work with warmth, inclusion and open-mindedness. I believe that each person is the expert in their own life, and that my job as a counsellor is to help facilitate each person’s exploration of their own unique skills, strengths, and story.
I use a holistic approach, and draw on a variety of theoretical approaches and techniques, tailoring my work to each person’s individual needs to help them create positive and lasting change. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#6913) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (#6710) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Jennifer Hammersmark, Ph.D., R.C.C. I am the owner of The Counselling Group and I have been doing this work for almost 25 years — and I love it! It is the best job in the world. Helping people heal, getting them through tough times, or helping them achieve their next goal…it is all very rewarding. I have had other careers before this one, and my childhood had it’s fair share of challenges. All of this comes together to help you — whether it be myself personally, or connecting you with one of the great therapists I partner with, my commitment is still the same: “Let all those who come leave better and happier” Mother Teresa.
